Photo Shoot with the Killaqueenz

A few months back I scored a photo shoot with the Queens of Aussie hip hop KILLAQUEENZ. And to my better lack of judgement, it went online and i never posted about it! My Bad. But the ladies over at C.O.P. still have it live, along with the super interview that they did on the night. The girls played Bingo in order to do the interview with C.O.P.'s Ivee and DL.

C.O.P. Photoshoot with Lady SJ

A few months back I was able to shoot the lovely Lady SJ for C.O.P. Magazine, and its finally in print! If you dont know what C.O.P. Magazine is, you should click here and find out. It is an awesome mag for chicks that i love being apart of. Anyway this shoot, styled by the aweosme Cheech, was a heap of fun. SJ's photos are a part of a feature they did on girls with great style.

Day 2 of making my photo blocks. Doing the second coat of black paint makes them look a whole lot better. Sorry for the poor images, but you can see them in real life (and maybe even buy one) at Paddington markets this coming Saturday 21st August.

Photo Blocks Day 1

This morning i woke up super early to start making a new range of my photo blocks. 6.30am and im spraying the cheapest kind of black spray paint i could find! Here is a progress shot. Got to still do another coat tonight (before it rains) and then fix the photographs to them. I really love making these. They just take the image a step further away from being just a digital print.

Just starting to finally go through all of my travel photographs. Sometimes it is daunting and hard to get into. I got my last roll of film back yesterday and when i opened it i saw this shot, and loved it. I know its just a donkey, but it was a spur of the moment shot which i doubled back to take. It is rustic, just like Morocco is to me. This image is as is straight off the roll of film.

Bieber Fever

Over the ANZAC weekend, I managed to get time with Justin Bieber through some work connections. With all the hype that is surrounding this 16 year old kid, i was keen to tag along and see what all the fuss was about. In all honesty this kid must of had some grooming and training when it comes to the press. Bieber was nothing but well mannered and polite, his mum would be proud. He gave each snapper equal eye contact and posed with ease. Most celebs that are triple his fellas age dont even do that!
I was first to admit that i had no idea who this person was a few weeks ago, but now i can see why 7500 teen girls swamped the city on Monday morning.
Here is a tiny sneak peak of an out take from the last few days. The rest will be Girlfriend June issue.

Last Friday evening i took a stroll with the lovely Kirby. Roadie in hand we winded our way through the back streets of Newtown, Enmore and then St Peters to go and see Beastman and Kid Zooms Mays Lane show. But we made a pitt stop at the Railway Hotel at St Peters and i relived my bathroom obsession when i saw the ladies, or ladies parlor as they called it. I was expecting a grand entrance circa 1920s but i mean it was St Peters after all... here a a few snaps.

Days Like This Music Festival - January 10, 2010

I ended up getting to this festival later than I had planned, and my heart really wasn’t in it on the day. With my skin stinging from the dose of sunburn that I got earlier on in the day, it was hard to stand in the photo pit and seem happy to be there. First up was Cat Power for me. I was slow of the mark for Ms Power, I was shooting slow and checking my shots… Then we all got asked to leave the pit. So that blew my chances. Roots Manuva was next and put on a great show. Looking quite strapping in his white short suit, he was easy to photograph and he just seemed so happy to be there, unlike Cat Power. Took a few shots of Pivot and Ugly Duckling but I pretty much then had hours to kill until Method Man and Redman closed the day. So a few beers with the ladies Emz, Cheech and Jacqui “The Charger” sped up the day and I felt a little happier going into the pit for these 2 MC’s. They closed the day nicely and I ended it standing up the back watching the crowd. Overall, I wasn’t that happy with my shots for the day and I think you can see that in the below.
